Robyn Crawford has an intimate relationship with Whitney Houston as a best friend. Robyn explored the deep layers of her relationship in her book A Song for You.

A Song For You, My Life with Whitney Houston shocked the world when it was published on November 12, 2019. The book clearly laid out the fact that Robyn and Whitney were not just best friends but were lovers in the initial years. 

Whitney and Crawford met while working at the East Orange Community Development Center in New Jersey during the summer of 1980. The book/memoir A Song For You is revealed the whole nature of their connection, and it is loving, numerous grievances, including the death of Whitney. Robyn became friends initially and started serving as her assistant. Their friendship eventually developed into a trusting professional partnership.

She also covered the rise and fall of the singer with evocative details on the lesser-known aspects of Whitney's behaviour. Crawford admitted to using drugs with Whitney as a teenager, saying she isn't a saint either. 

Robyn Crawford And Whitney Houston Dated In The Past

Whitney Houston was very secretive about Robyn Crawford, but it all came from her book, A Song For You. Robyn confessed that the two had physical relations and chose not to pursue it anymore as Whitney's fame flared. 

Robyn acknowledged that she and Houston's family did not have a smooth relationship. One of the reasons is the wealth involved after becoming a massive star. Hence, Houston and Brown started dating, and her performance absences increased steadily.

According to her book, Brown mistreated Houston emotionally and physically. When Houston revealed to her husband that she and Crawford had a brief love affair, his criticism of her ex-lover worsened. She was experiencing Whitney and Brown's fights' were becoming more frequent and vicious.

Eventually, Crawford had to leave the work with Houston and had to start over her life. She decided to move on with her life and started dating a friend Lisa. Robyn moved to New York, leaving behind Los Angeles. Even after leaving Whitney's work, she helped her as much as she could. However, Robyn became more focused on life and relationship. Whitney Houston passed away in 2012 in Beverly Hills, California.
